Think about your toilet. Now think about how it works. Do you really know how toilets work? Some of you might be a little more inclined with toilet knowledge than others, but for most of us, we may think we know how a toilet works… but in actuality, we don’t.
All of this confusion has to do with the principle of change blindness and how our brains wrap our minds around how something works. For example, if I were to ask you to draw a bike, chances are more than half would draw a bike that would never function. We think we “know” how a bike works, but that knowledge isn’t always translated into application. The video below will dig into this topic further.
