While the manufacturer has made quite the name for itself, to the untrained eye they may seem like another overpriced name brand. Creating their watches require a plethora of intense engineering skill and a decent amount of precious metal – but just how much?

YouTuber and chemist Cody’s Lab recently had the chance to disassemble an $8000 Rolex watch and figure out just what the precious metal value was. The final result was a lot less than you might think.
