Utilizing Lemon Batteries to Power a Supercar

Most of us probably remember powering a clock or a small lightbulb using a lemon or a potato back in grade school. That quintessential project teaches us about electrolytes, electricity, and for many, it lays the foundation to a life of scientific interest.

As we’ve grown up, most of us have realized that these lemon batteries aren’t really good for anything other than a neat demonstration – or are they? One former Nasa engineer wanted to put lemon batteries to the test, so he decided to use them to charge an electric supercar. Check out the insane project below.
