Transforming Waste Plastic into New Roads

Plastic waste is polluting nearly every part of the natural world and is a major problem, in large part, without a solution. However, one British engineer has developed a solution that could take significant amounts of waste plastic and turn it into raw material for building asphalt roads. Another beneficial effect of this new technique would be reducing the need for bitumin, an oil product, in asphalt construction. In the short video below, you can see how engineer Toby McCartney is working to make road construction green.
