Chances are you’ve heard about the CRISPR gene editing tool in the new lately. It was controversially used to edit human babies genes in China by a rogue doctor who’s now under investigation. The tool is a powerful one, it could lead the way to eradicate genetic defects and diseases – but how would something like this work?
