The Incredible Engineering of an F1 Steering Wheel

The automotive industry gets a lot of its new technology from F1 racing development. Whether it be paddle shifters or carbon fiber body work. While F1 racing is known to be the proving ground for new automotive research, one thing is for certain, F1 racecar’s steering wheels are absolutely insane.

Drivers have to be able to control every aspect of the car without moving their hands. This leads to incredibly complicated steering wheels that require weeks of practice to master.
