Demonstration of Hyperloop-Style Electromagnetic Levitation

The Hyperloop is one of many futuristic ideas to have come from Elon Musk. While he isn’t personally developing the technology, there are two companies racing to capture the industry. The main component of the design is the principle of magnetic levitation. This would allow for pods inside the Hyperloop to accelerate and move with little to no friction. If you have a hard time grasping exactly how this works, the video below should help. Veritasium from YouTube will walk you through one of the ways that magnetic levitation could make its way into the mass market of Hyperloop transportation.
